Meg Brennan

Meg Brennan is Vice President of Content Business Strategy and Operations at NPR. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day business operations of NPR's Content division, as well as strategic planning for the division and execution of content-related initiatives. She works closely with the Chief Content Officer and other senior executives to drive the Content division's growth, operational efficiency and innovation. Brennan first joined NPR in 2022 as the chief of staff for NPR's newsroom, where she played a key role in helping to shape top-line strategy, managing budgets and personnel and representing leadership within the Crisis Management Team and Labor Relations.

A veteran media executive, Brennan has served in key leadership roles at national, local and start-up media companies, working across editorial, strategy, management, revenue and finance. She has worked in leading roles at ABC News and Disney ABC Television Group, The Washington Post and McClatchy. She has also provided business strategy and financial project management consulting services for media, entertainment, sports and non-profit organizations and start-ups.

Following an internship at CNN while attending Emory University, Brennan officially began her career in journalism at ABC News. There she worked her way up to a role as a Washington-based segment producer for Good Morning America and an off-air political reporter. She later returned to the company following her MBA with a pivot toward finance and strategy, rising to executive director for financial planning and analysis where she led strategic initiatives across the news division.

Brennan graduated from Emory University with a BBA dual major in Political Science and Business, she and holds an MBA from the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business, where she was a Batten Media Fellow.
